Welcome to The Apple Rooms at Houghton Lodge Gardens

We have transformed a range of redundant calf sheds to six bespoke en suite studio rooms, two are fully accessible. Each is named after a variety of apple growing in the walled garden.

We have furnished each room with antique furniture, some from our house and some bought at local auctions. Each room has a kitchenette with a microwave, kettle, toaster, Grind coffee machine and fridge (but not an oven or hobb). The bathrooms have been designed with automatic lighting, a non-misting ‘smart’ mirror, heated floor and towel rail; Fluffy white towels and toiletries from The White Company.

There is a communal BBQ, lawn area with tables and chairs, cycle pod, and when the walled garden is closed in the evening you are welcome to use it. We give a voucher for free garden access during your stay and for early risers there is a riverside walk. We are very pet friendly!

We are fortunate that there are many places to eat in Stockbridge, 5 minutes by car, and The Boot Inn, a 10 minute walk away.

Apart from our gardens there are many interesting places to visit as we are 12 miles from Winchester, 15 miles from Salisbury, 8 miles from Romsey and 20 miles from Southampton. Stonehenge is about 40 minutes away depending on the traffic!
